Banana Oat Bars

Hello Everybody!

I found a recipe online I wanted to try. I made it yesterday with my little sisters. They had a blast!

This recipe is vegan/vegetarian so you don't have to worry about that. We found that it turned out a little too bland for our taste, so next time we will add some honey and dried cranberries! Feel free to play around with this recipe, adding or taking away certain ingredients.

Enjoy!!!

Ingredients:

2 very ripe bananas (The kind you would use for banana bread)
 2 cups rolled oats
 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries (You could add more if you want)
1/4 cup chopped nuts of your choice (Optional)
Something to grease the pan with. Olive oil, coconut oil, or cooking spray.

Directions:

Step one: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

 Step two: MASH YOUR BANANAS!!!!

Step three: Add the other ingredients. Stir together.

Step four: Spread your mixture into a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan and bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Step five: Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting into 9 bars.

Step six: Enjoy your sugar free, egg free, dairy free, wheat free, guilt free treat!!!

A special thanks to my little sisters for helping make this yummy snack!

     Sincerely,

Review of Michel Mercier Hairbrush

Hello Everybody!

Today I am writing a review on what has to be my favorite hairbrush EVER. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I saw the commercial a while ago in September 2012 on TV when we were on a vacation. The intro was pretty cheesy, but it caught my attention. I don't know if you have seen it yet or not, but I'll show you anyways.

Here it is:

Michel Mercier Hairbrush infomercial

As you can see, the advertisement didn't look incredibly realistic, so I decided to do a little research. I looked on YouTube and watched lots of reviews. Some were good. Some were bad.

Here is one of my favorite reviews from a YouTuber named Bunny. She is so funny and her "Does This Thing Really Work?" video series is hilarious and really helpful.

Bunny's Review

Answering a few FAQ about this brush:

Q: Does this brush really make a horrifying noise?

A: It's not really too bad. The bristles are made out of plasticy stuff, so some noise is to be expected.

Q: Why can't I use this with my hairdryer?

A: I don't have an exact answer since I've never tried using this with my blow dryer. I do think that it has to do with the brush being mostly made out of plastic and it might melt??? I'm not sure.

Q: The infomercial said it would reduce hair loss, but Bunny's review said her hair was still coming out!

A: A small amount of hair naturally comes out every day whether you are being gentle or not. This brush cannot prevent that, but it doesn't pull extra hair out.

I found that if you start with a little light brushing on the bottom of your hair first and work your way up, it will make it a lot easier. I really like this brush because now I don't have to spend as much time detangling my hair every morning. I have to use the blue brush because I have thick hair. My mom and I got this at Target for half price. I'd recommend this brush to anyone who is tired of tangles! It REALLY WORKS!!!

Sincerely,

Fun with Frozen!

I don't know about you, but it is snowing where I am. This is the PERFECT time to sit on the couch by the fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate, watching clips from the movie Frozen! When I saw this movie at Thanksgiving break 2013, I didn't think I would like it. I thought it would be too childish and cheesy. Well, I was in for a GREAT surprise! The animation was awesome, the storyline was interesting, the musical numbers were AMAZING, and the characters were funny and lovable!

I am going to share with you some of my favorite songs and scenes from the movie. If you haven't seen it, don't worry. I will not be giving anything TOO important away. Sit back and enjoy!

First up is the "First Time in Forever" song sung by Anna. Can you spot Eugene and Rapunzel Fitzherbert from the movie Tangled?

Next is my FAVORITE song in the ENTIRE movie!!! It is "Let it Go" sung by Elsa.

Can't get enough "Let it Go?" Try it in 25 different languages! It is really pretty!

Last is the "No Heat Experience" clip. I like the joke about who's the funky looking donkey!

Well, I hope you had fun!

See you soon!
